Camera Club
» Montage of pictures from outing to Battle and Hastings June 2009
Do you need a bit of help sorting out F-stops, jpegs, depth-of field, rule of thirds? Or simply how to turn a snap into a picture? Perhaps you're curious about what the digital age means to photography and how to bring your camera and computer together to produce stunning results. Maybe you already know some of these things and wish to share your expertise or develop it further?
Inaugurated in October 2007, the Hadleigh Temple Camera Club is open to all people interested in photography whether associated with The Salvation Army or not. People with all levels of photographic skill are welcome. Attendees at the first meeting ranged from real beginners to a retired professional.
A key supporter and speaker at the club is Robin Bryant, who for many years was The Salvation Army's chief photographer and his excellent work is well known throughout the Salvation Army world.
Meetings occur normally every 4 weeks, on a Tuesday, but sometimes this will need to be amended. Check the meeting dates document. Meetings are held at Hadleigh Temple and start at 8pm.
There is a subscription fee for members, prospective members may attend one meeting free of charge. Membership is open to all; you do not need to be associated with The Salvation Army to join.
The club is affiliated to The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies
There is a small annual membership fee (which may be paid in two installments), with reductions for members of the same family. There is no additional fee for attending normal regular meetings, and tea or coffee is provided.
