PRESS RELEASE ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE SALVATION ARMY HADLEIGH TEMPLE CORPS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 7 MARCH 2011
Help the Centre that Helped my Son
An evening of nostalgic movie clips is being organised at The Salvation Army’s Hadleigh Temple in London Road Hadleigh on Tuesday 15th March 2011 at 7.30pm (Doors open 7.00pm). Refreshments will be served.
The event is being organised by Hadleigh resident and member of The Salvation Army, Christine Horton to support a Salvation Army centre that saved her son’s life. Christine’s son is Phil Spalding, a well-known session bass guitarist whose life was all but ruined by drugs. “A course of treatment at The Salvation Army’s Gloucester House in Swindon saved his life” said Christine “and now I want to support the centre’s ongoing work.”
Money raised from the event will go towards the Gloucester House “Buy a Bed – Save a Life” scheme so that other people’s lives can be saved from the savage effects of alcohol and drug abuse.
Tickets are £5 from Hadleigh Temple Reception, tel 01702 558913.
