Since the earliest days, music has played a crucial role in worship within The Salvation Army. The Songster Brigade (or adult choir) is a modern day continuation of that fine tradition.
The principal role of Hadleigh Temple Songster Brigade is to enhance worship at the Temple and bring others into a deeper relationship with the Saviour. Songster Leader Paul Hillson says: “We strive for musical excellence and pray that God will speak, through our singing, to those who hear.”
Each member of the brigade is a Salvation Army soldier, making them an active and committed member of this church. When not worshiping or rehearsing at the Temple, songsters juggle family and work lives, just like anybody else, with members ranging from students to the retired and just about everything in between!
The Songsters rehearse on a Wednesday evening from 8:15 to 10:00pm. Why not spare an hour or so and come to listen? You'll be most welcome; you may even want to join in with the fellowship.
May God bless you!
