A party of first-year cadets from the William Booth College have been linked with Hadleigh Temple as part of their field training syllabus. The four, from the Proclaimers of the Resurrection session, are spending a number of Sundays at the corps leading worship.
Cadet Katrina Thurlow, out of Lincoln Corps was a youth development worker before entering the college. She says:
‘I want that God will use me powerfully and live up to the sessional name and proclaim the resurrection’.
Cadet Joy Peters used to work with psychologists. Her desire is to do what God assigns her to do. She hails from Reading Lower Earley Corps.
The only man in the group is former civil servant Cadet Mark Scoulding who comes from Chatham Citadel. His desire is to be as effective for God as he can be.
Cadet Shelley Drake soldiered at Regent Hall before going into college. She worked at THQ Schools and Colleges Department and wants to be a better follower of Jesus and develop as a leader.
They are at the corps on 22nd January, 5th February, 19th February, 4th March, 1st April 29th April and 13th May 2012.
